Wisteria frutescens‘Amethyst Falls’ (L.) Poir.
Compact native wisteria that blooms young, with short lavender clusters in late spring after the leaves emerge. Far less aggressive than Asian wisterias.
Size over time
Typical landscape size 4.5–9 m (15–30 ft) tall and 1.5–3 m (5–10 ft) wide; medium growth, about 5 years to maturity. Intermediate sizes use the planner’s growth curve (k = 0.25) from the #3 install size.
