Put real products and reviewed data into real plans
OpenLandscape3D keeps botanical facts, trade data and commercial offers separate — with attribution on each — so partners can contribute without anyone’s data being misrepresented.
Nurseries & growers
Cultivars you carry, container and B&B sizes, and availability windows — so designs specify plants that can actually be bought.
Manufacturers
Pavers, fencing, edging, walls, lighting and site furniture as structured catalog items with dimensions, colours and planning prices.
Data & science partners
Extension services, native-plant societies and botanical institutions that review regional records or publish open datasets.
Designers & educators
Pilot users in the three launch regions who test the workflow and help prioritise what comes next.
How catalog publishing works
- Read the specification. The catalog format defines every field, enum and unit.
- Map your data. We match your records to accepted names and stable ids; cultivars are never merged because trade names look alike.
- Review. Facts that touch suitability or safety — invasive status, toxicity — get extra review before they are published.
- Publish with attribution. Your organisation is credited on every record you contribute, and commercial data stays separate from open facts.
What we won’t do
- Use a single vendor as the botanical authority for a plant.
- Copy nursery descriptions or photos without rights.
- Rank plants by who paid. Recommendations come from site fit and cited facts.
Talk to us
We’re working with a small group of partners in the Northeast, Southeast and Southwest during the pilot. Tell us who you are, the region you serve and what data you hold.
