Native herbaceous vine with intricate lavender flowers and egg-shaped fruit. Host plant of gulf fritillary and variegated fritillary butterflies.
Size over time
Typical landscape size 3–7.5 m (10–25 ft) tall and 1–2 m (3–7 ft) wide; fast growth, about 3 years to maturity. Intermediate sizes use the planner’s growth curve (k = 0.45) from the #3 install size.
