For property & grounds managers

Plan maintenance and replacement over years, not weeks

Grounds outlive contracts. OpenLandscape3D keeps an inventory of what’s planted and how it will grow, so replacement and maintenance plans start from data rather than memory.

Inventory existing plants

Record existing trees and shrubs with measured height and spread and condition (good, fair, poor, dead). Field notes, photos and issues from the iPhone app (coming soon) attach to the plan.

See conflicts coming

Scrub years ahead to see when trees will reach buildings (OL-CLEARANCE) or crowd each other (OL-OVERLAP), and plan pruning or replacement before it becomes urgent.

A calendar per site

Task calendars come from each site’s frost dates and the plants actually present: cutting back, mulching, establishment watering, inspections.

Planned

Multi-site portfolios, work orders and maintenance histories are planned.

Sample back garden in July, at planting: a redbud, serviceberry, arborvitae screen, winterberry and summersweet shrubs, and a border of coneflowers, butterfly weed, asters and little bluestem.
At planting
Sample back garden in July, 3 years after planting: a redbud, serviceberry, arborvitae screen, winterberry and summersweet shrubs, and a border of coneflowers, butterfly weed, asters and little bluestem.
Year 3
Sample back garden in July, 10 years after planting: a redbud, serviceberry, arborvitae screen, winterberry and summersweet shrubs, and a border of coneflowers, butterfly weed, asters and little bluestem.
Year 10

Growth over ten years, from the same plan.

Questions

Can I manage several properties?

Each property is its own project today. Portfolio views are planned.

Can staff record issues on site?

Field observations are part of the iPhone and iPad app, which is coming soon.
