Viburnum dentatum L.
Also called arrowwood viburnum, southern arrowwood.
Adaptable native shrub with flat white flower clusters, blue-black fruit for birds and red to purple fall colour. Good informal hedge or screen.
Size over time
Typical landscape size 1.8–3 m (6–10 ft) tall and 1.8–3 m (6–10 ft) wide; medium growth, about 6 years to maturity. Intermediate sizes use the planner’s growth curve (k = 0.25) from the #3 install size.

Design notes
- Viburnum leaf beetle can defoliate it in the Northeast; prune out twigs with egg-laying scars in winter.
- Plant two or more genetically different plants for better fruit set.
