Native shrub with white bell flowers, summer blueberries and scarlet fall colour. As handsome in a border as in a fruit garden.
Size over time
Typical landscape size 1.5–2.4 m (5–8 ft) tall and 1.5–2.4 m (5–8 ft) wide; medium growth, about 6 years to maturity. Intermediate sizes use the planner’s growth curve (k = 0.25) from the #3 install size.

Design notes
- Needs strongly acidic soil (pH 4.5–5.5); lower pH with sulfur based on a soil test.
- Plant two or more cultivars for better fruit set; net against birds if harvest matters.
