Chrysogonum virginianum L.

Also called green-and-gold, goldenstar.

Low native groundcover of hairy dark green leaves with bright yellow star-shaped daisies from early spring into summer, and often again in fall. Fills shady edges and slopes under deciduous trees.

Size over time

Typical landscape size 0.1–0.3 m (4–10 in) tall and 0.3–0.6 m (12–24 in) wide; medium growth, about 3 years to maturity. Intermediate sizes use the planner’s growth curve (k = 0.25) from the plug install size.
