Amelanchier arborea (F.Michx.) Fernald
Also called downy serviceberry, shadbush.
Four-season small tree: early white flowers, early-summer berries birds strip quickly, orange-red fall colour and smooth gray bark.
Size over time
Typical landscape size 5–8 m (16–26 ft) tall and 4–7 m (13–23 ft) wide; medium growth, about 25 years to maturity. Intermediate sizes use the planner’s growth curve (k = 0.25) from the #15 install size.
