Stokes' aster

Stokesia laevis (Hill) Greene

Southeastern native with large, fringed lavender-blue flowers over low rosettes from late spring into summer. Leaves stay green through mild winters.

Size over time

Typical landscape size 0.3–0.6 m (12–24 in) tall and 0.3–0.5 m (12–18 in) wide; medium growth, about 3 years to maturity. Intermediate sizes use the planner’s growth curve (k = 0.25) from the #1 install size.
