Calliandra eriophylla Benth.
Also called fairy duster, pink fairy duster.
Fine-textured, low native shrub with powder-puff pink flowers in spring. Fits small spaces and naturalistic desert beds.
Size over time
Typical landscape size 0.6–1 m (2–3 ft) tall and 0.9–1.2 m (3–4 ft) wide; slow growth, about 10 years to maturity. Intermediate sizes use the planner’s growth curve (k = 0.12) from the #3 install size.
