Design notes
- Rose rosette disease (spread by mites) is common in the East: remove plants with witches'-broom red growth, roots and all.
- Cut back by about half in late winter; do not plant long single-cultivar hedges.
Regions
Native range: Garden hybrid.
Not recorded as native to any of the three pilot regions.
Native status describes where the species occurs naturally. It is not a promise that it suits a particular garden; site conditions decide that.
