Large panicle hydrangea with lime-tinted flower heads that age to cream and pink. The most sun-tolerant and dependable hydrangea for cold climates.
Size over time
Typical landscape size 1.8–2.4 m (6–8 ft) tall and 1.8–2.4 m (6–8 ft) wide; fast growth, about 4 years to maturity. Intermediate sizes use the planner’s growth curve (k = 0.45) from the #3 install size.

Lime-white flowers, Jul–Sep (northern-hemisphere months; timing shifts with region and season).

Design notes
- Blooms on new wood — cut back by a third in late winter.
- For small spaces, 'Little Lime' reaches about 1–1.5 m.
- Can be trained as a small standard tree.

Native range: China and Japan (species).
Not recorded as native to any of the three pilot regions.
