Also called threadleaf blue star.

Feathery, needle-leaved perennial with pale blue spring stars and outstanding golden fall colour. Shrub-like by its third year.

Size over time

Typical landscape size 0.6–0.9 m (2–3 ft) tall and 0.9–1.2 m (3–4 ft) wide; slow growth, about 4 years to maturity. Intermediate sizes use the planner’s growth curve (k = 0.12) from the #1 install size.

Native range: Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Not recorded as native to any of the three pilot regions.
